Squarewave Generator Pedal SOLD
This is my take on the old 1970s DeArmond Squarewave Generator. The original design is a single opamp distortion circuit, with clipping diodes on the output. Very similar to a Blue Clipper, a Distortion + or any other myriad of single opamp distortion pedals. This circuit is run fairly heavy, so there isn't much clean to it (hence the name).
I used a vintage 741H opamp in a T-05 package. I believe it is one of the higher tolerance military units. Diodes are a reverse pair of 2N4002s. Has 9v wall wart socket. Can be made into a battery version if needed.
Enclosure is painted, with a laser engraved logo.
This is a project done while under the quarantine. I will be doing more of these one offs, experiments, and projects over the next month or two (as long as we are quarantined).
